He can easily be recognized by his unusual mustard colour hair, his small head with quite waxy skin, and side-facing hands. Also known as Les Etoiles du Sport Ken in Canada and Ken Champion in France. Sports Star Ken was released in Canada and Europe only, and is one of the rarest Superstar Kens. 1980 #638 Ken Loisirs (French – Made in Germany – version) Reverse of French (Made in Germany) packaging Side of French (Made in Germany) packaging Identification: Mattel GmbH 1978 West Germany This suggests that the elusive SuperStar Ken with the same markings on rear could also have been made in Germany for the French market (see also section 1978 The Boys). We won't all agree with the experts online and we don't have to, there are others to watch and listen to.Sport & Shave Ken was Mattel’s most flexible Ken ever at the time a similar body to SuperStar Ken, but with articulated wrists, and arms which bend at the elbow. In the end, it is just shaving and a fun hobby to explore and share with others. My hope is that this gives us all a better understanding from the viewpoint of a vendor. But some posts bump right up against being unnecessarily provocative and that is not what I am about - life is too short. You will note that I haven't done this because in my opinion it has remained civil and civil discourse is what B&B is all about. We also have discretion to edit and have posts removed from any of our threads since it is our own sub-forum. Because we pay for it we have discretion to post threads that are commercial in nature - that is the whole idea of vendors having their own sub-forum. Vendors are an important revenue stream for B&B so it can continue to be the helpful forum that it is. That makes them an expert in my book.Īnother aspect is that as a vendor we pay $500.00/year to have our own sub-forum on B&B which is another tool for a small business. Why do I say this? Quite simply, they try a lot more products from a plethora of manufacturers than I do. And I will call them experts since they are more of an expert than I. I fully intend to post new threads from youtube and the experts that review our products. One thing bears remembering shaver, We are thankful for all of our customers out there and youtube plays a role in helping a small business promote itself.
